2nd annual Untappd Beer Festival postponed again

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On Friday, organizers for the Untappd Beer Festival announced the second annual event, scheduled for this spring at Bank of America Stadium, has been postponed.

A spokesperson provided the following statement:

“Due to the ongoing pandemic, we have made the unfortunate but necessary decision to further postpone the 2nd annual Untappd Beer Festival scheduled for April 24. We are optimistic we will be able to host this highly anticipated event at Bank of America Stadium and look forward to announcing a new date in the near future.”

The festival was originally set to take place at the stadium on May 16, 2020, but was rescheduled to April 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The inaugural Untappd Beer Festival was held in May 2019 at the stadium.

Severe weather and a sold-out crowd created several problems at the event, but earlier this year, organizers promised to make changes.
