CHARLOTTE — Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard is closed until next week as work begins on the new Second Ward High School.
The road is closed between Davidson and McDowell streets so crews can put up a crane.

Drivers can use Brooklyn Village Avenue as an alternate route.
All lanes are scheduled to reopen by 6 a.m. Monday morning.
