FORT MILL, S.C. — Wells Fargo said it’s reducing the Wells Fargo Home Mortgage team in Fort Mill by 100 people.
The company said the changes are a result of continuing market changes.
Wells Fargo released the below statement to Channel 9 Friday:
The decision to reduce our workforce is made with great concern for our team members. Wells Fargo Home Mortgage is committed to retaining valued team members and, where possible, we will work to identify other opportunities within Wells Fargo.
All team members are eligible to receive pay and benefits through August 19, 2018. If team members are unable to find another position internally, they may be eligible to participate in the company’s salary continuation plan for separation benefits based on years of service with the company.
