LAKE WYLIE, S.C. — A Charlotte woman was charged with a DUI after crashing her car into Lake Wylie on Monday afternoon, police said.
York County deputies said Deborah Lundberg was driving under the influence when her car jumped a curb, struck a wooden post and dove into the lake.
The incident happened behind T-Bones Steakhouse at Buster Boyd Bridge.
Two York County sheriff's deputies patrolling the area Monday afternoon saw the crash and jumped into the water to rescue Lundberg.
