CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A woman is recovering in the hospital after police said she crashed her car into an east Charlotte apartment late Thursday night.
The wreck happened around 11:30 p.m. on Kilborne Drive, near Central Avenue.
It appeared the woman drove straight into the front of the building.
Investigators told Channel 9 that two people were inside the building at the time, but they were not hurt, and are currently staying with friends.
The driver, whose name has not been released, is expected to be OK.
Police are still trying to determine if alcohol or any other kind of impairment was a factor in the crash.
