Your ride to the polls: Free, discounted transportation for voters on Election Day

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — If you need a ride to the polls on Election Day, don’t let that stop you. There are plenty of free or discounted options to choose from.

There are groups that want to make sure there is nothing standing in your way when it comes to voting.

In Charlotte, CATS is providing free public transportation to the polls on Election Day. That means you won’t pay fare on buses, the Lynx Blue Line or Para-Transit Rides.

Lyft is offering half off one ride up to $10 to any polling place. Make sure to use the code “2020 Vote” in your app.

Edit infoUber is offering half off trips up to $14 to and from the polls.

Charlotte Rapper DaBaby said he wants to make sure residents to get to the polls on Election Day as well so he’s partnering with Lyft to pay for free rides.
