CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — A park will be renamed in honor of an 11-year-old boy who died after pushing his sister out of the path of an oncoming car.
Channel 9's partners at The Herald reported a crowd filled council chambers Monday as the Chester City Council voted unanimously to name the park for La'Darious Wylie.

Wylie pushed his 7-year-old sister, Sha'Vonta, out of the car's path Oct. 27 at a school bus stop in Chester.
He died the next day. Elizabeth McCrorey donated her son's organs to help other children survive injury or illness.
The driver of the car is charged with felony hit and run resulting in death.

The park, which is located in the Brooklyn neighborhood where Wylie and his siblings played, will be called "La'Darious Wylie Park of Brooklyn."
