CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — One man was stabbed early Friday morning in east Charlotte after his homosexual lover confronted the man and his wife, police said.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were called shortly after 6 a.m. to the Grove Park Boulevard home where the victim and his wife live.
According to police, the victim was in a relationship with another man, who showed up at the home. Police said the lover made the man's wife call her husband back to the home.
When the husband arrived, the lover stabbed him in the stomach, police said.
Officials said the injuries are non-life-threatening, but the victim was transported to Carolinas Medical Center for treatment.
Police said the three people knew each other, but did not disclose what led to the violent act.
The identities of the trio have not yet been released.
