CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — Jetion Solar USA held its grand opening event in Charlotte at their facility on South Commerce Boulevard.
The Chinese solar company selected Charlotte as its North American headquarters and will add 36 jobs to the area.
Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx was joined by County Commissioner Chairman Jennifer Robers and President and CEO of Jetion, Alina Xu for the event on Thursday.
"The more sun exposure you get the quicker your return on your investment. And that's what everyone is concerned about, getting a return on your investment," said Francis Tsai of Jetion Solar.
Jetion manufactures solar panels to harvest solar energy and will begin operation of its new 20,160-square feet sales and service center in August.
