The 2011 Ambassador's Ball Benefiting Allegro Foundation

CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — On January 22, 2011, Mr. Felix Sabates' Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte dealership will light up the wintery southern sky as Honorary Chairs, His Excellency Ambassador of Ecuador to the United States and the United Nations, Luis Benigno Gallegos Chiriboga and his wife welcome 250 honored guests into exquisitely decorated showrooms transformed to radiate the tropical enchantment of Ecuadorian rainforests and volcanic Andes Mountains. 2010 sponsor Wells Fargo Private Bank is the Official Platinum Presenting Sponsor of the 2011 "Spend the Evening in Ecuador" event.

Building upon the immense success of last year's Ball, Allegro will once again welcome Ambassador and Mrs. Gilles Noghès, under the patronage of his Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, as the Founding President of Allegro's Ambassadors Club.

Host Mr. Felix Sabates and Ambassador's Ball Chair Mimi Fitz promise a memorable experience. Attendees will dine on exquisite cuisine paired with superb wines and succulent Ecuadorian Ceviche.

In conjunction with the Ball, Allegro is currently auctioning three stunning original mixed media pieces by artist Peter Max to benefit its free movement education classes for children with disabilities.

These pieces were generously donated by Jim and Brenda Wells as well as Chris and Shelia Estes and are currently on display at Felix Sabates' Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte. Jim Wells states, "Seeing the enjoyment on the faces of Allegro's students as they presented a special movement piece at last year's Ball was inspiring. We wanted to support Allegro's work for these special children." The auction will culminate on the evening of the Ambassador's Ball.
