Training for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer

Whatever your fitness level, you can walk the distance with the right preparation.

It’s always better to start moderately and to increase your training in small increments. Pushing yourself to go too far, too fast, will only result in injury. Pace yourself and make the resolve to enjoy the journey.

A great way to get started with your training is to join a volunteer-led training walk, which are free and open to the public. Training walks are an excellent way to meet other members of the Avon Walk community. For more information, visit the training walk page.
