HILO, Hawaii — An erupting volcano may be the last thing you want to fly above on a tour in Hawaii, but for a few tourists flying over Kilauea, a crater in a volcano that makes up the big island of Hawaii, it was the perfect photo op.
Today.com reported that as lava cracked before it began to flow from one of the volcano's craters, a smiley face appeared to form in the magma.
CNN reported that the flow from the volcano is making the big island bigger as lava goes into the Pacific Ocean.
