MONROE, La. — A Louisiana mother killed her four children and a neighbor before fatally shooting herself last week, authorities said.
According to KNOE, Monroe police said Brittany Tucker, 30, first opened fire on her 20-year-old neighbor, Antisha Logwood, in the Parkwood Apartments parking lot Thursday night. Logwood died from her injuries.
Following the shooting, Tucker returned to her own apartment, where she fatally shot her children, identified as Tremayne, Treshelle, Treasure and Gloria Tucker, KNOE reported. They ranged from 5 months old to 12 years old, authorities said.
Tucker then shot and killed herself, according to KTVE.
Investigators said Tucker, who appeared to suffer from mental health issues, bought the gun legally, KNOE reported. No further information was immediately available.
