Prince Harry will attend Prince Philip’s funeral next Saturday at Windsor Castle.
The service will be steeped in tradition but will be completely closed to the public and have a reduced capacity amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Philip took part in planning the services which will focus on family.
“Although the ceremonial arrangements are reduced, the occasion will still celebrate and recognize the Duke’s life and his more than 70 years of service to the Queen, the UK and the Commonwealth,” a palace spokesman told The Associated Press.
Prince Harry, who stepped away from his royal duties last year and now lives in California, will attend his grandfather’s funeral, CNN reported. However, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is pregnant and will not attend on doctor’s advice.
