What's your 'Motive?' New ABC show debuts Monday

Watch the premiere of "Motive" Monday, May 20 at 10:00pm on ABC.

It's not about who did it, it's about why they did it.

From an executive producer of "Dexter" and "The Mentalist" comes a thrilling new crime drama "Motive."

The show premieres tonight at 10 p.m. on ABC.

Motive follows homicide detective duo Angie Flynn and Oscar Vega as they work to put the pieces together to solve the murders.

But this show is not just the normal crime drama.

It reveals the killer and victim at the start of the episode, and through a mix of flashbacks and present-time scenes helps the viewer and the detectives solve the reason behind the crime.

Kristin Lehman from "The Killing" and "Judging Amy" plays Detective Flynn and "Rookie Blue" star Louis Ferreira plays her partner Detective Vega.

The cast also Lauren Holly ("NCIS," "Chicago Hope") as medical examiner Dr. Betty Rogers, Roger Cross ("24," "Arrow") as Staff Sergeant Bloom, Brendan Penny ("Whistler") as Detective Brian Lewis, and Cameron Bright ("The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 2") as Detective Flynn's son Manny.

After tonight's premiere, the show will start airing regularly on Thursday, May 23 from 9 - 10 p.m.

Stay tuned after the show for Eyewitness News at 11 p.m.
