Huntersville businesses create, perform 'Super Bowl Shuffle' dance

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Huntersville business owners and residents decided not to jump on the "dabbing" video bandwagon but instead created their own dance to show off their Panthers Pride.

Former Huntersville mayor, Jill Swain, and the owner of Grand Central Academy of Performing Arts, Wendi Bergstrom, have been teaching the "HC Super Bowl Shuffle" to businesses who are a part of the Huntersville Connection, a group that encourages the growth of local organizations.

Bergstrom choreographed the fast-paced dance to the tune of "Betcha Can't Dance Like Me."

"You don't have to be a great dancer to participate," Bergstrom said, "you just have to have fun.  To see everyone from kids to dentists to mechanics to nurses to fireman dancing has made this a great week."

The videos have been posted on Facebook and Twitter with the hashtag #HCSuperBowlShuffle.

"This was a concerted effort to show the collective support by Huntersville businesses for the Carolina Panthers," Swain said, "while also showing the friendly and upbeat personalities of our area merchants and partners."
