CHARLOTTE FORECAST: Scattered storms possible this weekend

A threat for thunderstorms continues for the rest of Saturday and all day Sunday.

The weather radar shows scattered storms through 9 p.m. in the Charlotte metro area, and they will slow down by 10 or 11 p.m.

Severe weather is not expected, but the top threats will be heavy rain and lightning. Temperatures reached the mid-80s.

The summer heat continues through the weekend, with temps climbing into the upper 80s to low 90s. Scattered storms are expected for Saturday, but not as many storms for Father's Day.

Temperatures will be in the 90s.
