Fan Guide: Have a ball with the Charlotte Knights

CHARLOTTE — Baseball has returned to uptown and the Charlotte Knights have a schedule full of fireworks, famous faces and fun this season.

Here’s what you need to know before you go:

Six games were added to the initial schedule, so the Knights are now set to play a record 150 games during the 2022 season — 75 of them in Charlotte.

The team will continue to honor Charlotte’s 704 area code with most game times set for a 7:04 p.m. first pitch. In 2022, the Knights will begin some weekday home games (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) at 6:35 p.m. The earlier starts are being scheduled to better accommodate family schedules while school is in session in April, May, August and September.

The Knights will host three 11:05 a.m. weekday games (including Aug. 4); two 12:05 p.m. Saturday games (including July 16); and six 1:05 p.m. Sunday games (including Sept. 11). The 1:05 p.m. game time is new for the 2022 season.

Gates open an hour and five minutes prior to game time.

Single-game tickets are on sale now. Prices range from $12-$57, depending on location.

Children ages 2 and younger are admitted free. However, children without a ticket are required to sit on their parent’s or guardian’s lap and cannot occupy an additional seat.

Season memberships, half-season and 18-game ticket plans, group, suite, and hospitality packages are also available online at, in person at the Truist Field Ticket Office, and by phone at 704-274-8282.

Beginning with “Opening Knight” on April 12, the Knights will light up Charlotte’s skyline 22 times at Truist Field. Friday night fireworks are back for all 12 Friday home games. In addition, fans can expect post-game fireworks at seven Saturday home games (including Aug. 6, Aug. 20, Sept. 3 and Sept. 10) and two Sunday home games (including Sept. 4).

Celebrity appearances

In August, the Knights will welcome 1995 Atlanta Braves World Series Champion Ryan Klesko to meet fans and sign autographs on Aug. 2. Two weeks later, eight-time National League All-Star and three-time World Series Champion Darryl Strawberry will meet fans and sign autographs on Aug. 16.
