Greater Charlotte Y hosts National Day of Prayer service

Community Unity

Thursday, May 7 is the National Day of Prayer. While the North Carolina stay-at-home order is in place, the YMCA of Greater Charlotte can’t hold its annual Community Prayer Breakfast, so a modified online service is scheduled.

The 30-minute National Day of Prayer service will include time spent together in prayer as well as messages from local spiritual leaders, including Bishop Claude Alexander from The Park Church, Dr. Leighton Ford and Father James Shea from St. Peter Catholic Church.

The YMCA National Day of Prayer service is Thursday at 7 a.m.

The service will be streamed on the YMCA of Greater Charlotte’s Facebook page, where you will be able to interact with other participants.

The video will also be available on the YMCA of Greater Charlotte website beginning at 7:30 a.m.
