Complete with live performers, marching bands, larger-than-life floats and balloons, the parade is a great way to kick off the holiday season.

The parade will step off Thursday at 9 a.m. at 9th Street and march south on Tryon Street to Stonewall Street.

The performance area will be on South Tryon in front of the Duke Energy building.

The parade is free to attend, and there will be space along the route if you want to bring a chair or blanket.
