CHARLOTTE, N.C.,None — Two men reported missing from a northwest Charlotte home are dead and police said they caught the men who killed them.
Police identified the missing men as Benjamin and Floriberto Acahua-Itehua.
According to police, officers arrived at the Mount Holly Road home Monday evening where they found evidence of foul play. Police said vehicles and several other items from inside the house were missing.
During the investigation, police said they identified and arrested three suspects: Aquilino and Efrain Tzompaxtle and Dominick Vershon Cole.
Police said the killings were not a random act of violence and all five men knew each other.
Detectives with the Charlotte Mecklenburg police homicide unit as well as the Fayetteville Police Department and the Florence County Sheriff's Office worked together to capture the three men, police said.
Each man has been charged with two counts of murder and armed robbery and will be taken back to Mecklenburg County where they will remain in custody.
