Brad Womack picked one this time. "The Bachelor's" season finale was Monday on ABC and Womack proposed to Emily Maynard, an event planner from Charlotte.

Maynard works as an event planner at a children’s hospital and has a 5-year-old daughter, Ricki.

He angered many fans after his first stint on the show when he rejected both finalists. But there are no wedding bells for Womack and Maynard yet.

During the follow-up program, "After the Final Rose," Maynard said she wasn't ready to get married. She has a young child, whose father died in an airplane crash. They were engaged.

On Monday, Maynard said she didn't want to get her heart broken again. Womack assured her he was the real thing, and slipped the engagement ring on her finger for a second time.

The couple released a statement on Tuesday through ABC about their current relationship status.

"At long last, Emily and I can be open to the world and each other about our relationship. Though we are madly in love, it has been a bumpy couple of months for us and our priority right now is to focus on our relationship. We hope that you can respect our privacy as we return to normalcy and begin our off-screen lives together.”
