CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Eyewitness News has learned that Dale Earnhardt Boulevard in Kannapolis will stay closed through at least Monday afternoon because of Wednesday's water main break.
A colossal amount of mud and debris stuck to the roadway.
The water main was fixed Wednesday afternoon, but the rushing water caused so much damage that the N.C. Department of Transportation will have to hire a contractor to repair the road.
