STATESVILLE, N.C.,None — A woman is accused of stealing a car from a church parking lot.
Iredell County deputies said Yvette Warren stole the car on Wednesday night while the owner was attending a church service in Statesville.
Deputies sent out an alert to other agencies after the car was reported stolen. Shortly after, a Newton police officer spotted the car and arrested Warren, the Sheriff's Office said.
Warren was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and possession of stolen goods. She was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center under a $10,000 bond.
The car was returned to its owner.
