Fire Causes Thousands In Damage

GASTON COUNTY, N.C.,None — Investigators were trying to find out what caused a mobile home fire in Gaston County Saturday.

Both the Crowder's Mountain Volunteer Fire and Rescue and the Union Road Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to a home on Angler Way.

Upon arrival, firefighters witnessed smoke coming from the structure and discovered a bedroom fully engulfed in fire.

According to investigators, the fire caused about $10,000 in damage.

No one was injured in the fire.

Crews from both stations rescued two dogs that were inside at the time of the fire.

The Gaston County Fire Investigations Task Force is investigating the cause.
