MATTHEWS, N.C. — Local residents are frustrated over a North Carolina Department of Transportation project that just keeps dragging on.
[Road-widening project in Matthews delayed]
South Trade Street in Matthews helps 25,000 drivers a day travel between Charlotte, Matthews and Union County.
NCDOT has been working to widen part of the road since 2017 and the project is still not done.
"Sometimes, it seems like they're just standing around chit-chatting. Get it done! Get it done!" said resident Jan Boike.
