ROCK HILL, S.C. — Parents scared for their child's safety contacted Channel 9 about the danger on their street after drivers were seen speeding and ignoring a school crosswalk.
The problem area is right behind Sullivan Middle School in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
One of the parents even asked Rock Hill Police if it was OK for her to go buy a vest, get a sign and go out and stop traffic herself -- they told her that was not a good idea.
"I want these people to drive like their loved one is crossing the street," parent Robyn Crank said.
Watch the video above as Channel 9's South Carolina reporter Greg Suskin shows us how parents are taking matters into their own hands.
