LINCOLNTON, N.C. — The South Fork Fire Department reported about a deadly two-vehicle wreck with multiple injuries that happened at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday on Gastonia Highway near Cottons Seafood in Lincolnton.
Two people were pinned inside one of the vehicles and fire crews and Lincoln County EMS worked to free them.
One person died.
Another was flown to an area hospital while two more were taken by ground.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
No further information has been released.
