10 rules of living in Federal Corrections Institute- Morgantown, West Virginia

The following list is a snapshot of prison rules that Cannon will have to follow.

  1. Inmate wake-up is 6:15 a.m. Monday thru Friday (announced over public address system)
  2. Beds must be made according to regulations before work call at 7:30 a.m.
  3. During leisure time, inmates may sign out of their unit with the unit officer and sign back in when they return.
  4. Inmates are responsible for sweeping and mopping living area.
  5. Inmates can only have one approved radio and watch at one time (can't be worth more than $100) and radios are not permitted on work detail, education programs or at main line.
  6. Authorized foot wear – one pair of steel-toe safety shoes, one power of shower shoes, 2 pairs of sneakers.
  7. Inmates can make purchases from the prison commissary using funds from their own account. Monthly spending limit is $300
  8. Visiting hours are Friday nights (5 p.m. - 9p.m.), and weekend days (8am-3pm) but may be limited do to overcrowding; Special Housing Units may have modified visiting hours and rules. Physical contact is restricted to the beginning and end of each visit.
  9. Inmates are limited to 300 minutes of telephone calls each month.
  10. Receiving mail: General correspondence will be opened and inspected by staff
