CAPE LOOKOUT, N.C. — A great white shark named Hilton was spotted near Cape Lookout this week, according to OCEARCH, a global shark tracker. Hilton is 12 feet 5 inches long and weighs 1,326 pounds.
The male shark was first tagged in March 2017 near Hilton Head, South Carolina and is now approaching Wilmington, North Carolina.
A second shark was also spotted off the Carolina coast.
Savannah is an immature female shark that is just over 8 feet long.
