CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two CMS high schools are among the ten best schools in the state.
U.S. News World and Report ranked the schools based on test scores and the percentage of students in advanced classes.
Butler High School, in Matthews, ranked fifth in the state and South Mecklenburg High School came in seventh.
Cox Mill High School in Concord was ranked ninth.
