CONCORD, N.C. — Police in Concord are looking into a deadly crash involving a garbage truck.
Ruth Bost, 80, and Katherine White, 86, were killed in the wreck just after 12 p.m. Thursday.
Police said the women were driving on Fawn Ridge Road when they clipped the parked truck and hit a tree.
"All of the sudden, I saw all these sirens, so I come outside and there's all these people performing CPR right on my front lawn. So, I thought it was very, very scary," said witness Lauren Pinckney.
The city workers were not hurt in the accident.
