CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have arrested a man they said shot two people in west Charlotte late Tuesday night.
The shooting happened around 11 p.m. on Nations Ford Road, near Choyce Avenue.
Investigators told Channel 9 that three people in a car were arguing with Jaime Melendez-Suarez across the street, and as the car began to drive away, shots were fired.
One of the victims is a juvenile but suffered minor injuries, according to police. The other victim was seriously hurt though, and taken to the hospital.
The third person in the car was not hurt.
Early Thursday morning, police told Channel 9 they had arrested Melendez-Suarez.
He will face a judge Thursday afternoon.
