2.4M Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to be shipped from Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Millions of shoeboxes filled with gifts for children around the world are set to be shipped out of Charlotte.

Channel 9 was there Friday morning as Operation Christmas Child showcased the gifts collected this season.

Ten million shoebox gifts were assembled and 2.4 million of those will be shipped out of Charlotte.

The boxes are filled with toys, schools supplies and other much needed items.
