One was at Michael’s arts and craft store on Rea Road.

The other two cited were at smoke shops, High Life on North Tryon Street and Cloudzilla on Central Avenue.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said in all three cases, officers tried to educate the employees and gave them a warning first. But in all three cases, they refused to stop, and officers cited them.

The stay-at-home order issued by North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper allows only essential businesses to remain open.
