• Officials: 3 taken to hospital after wreck near Crowders Mountain

    GASTON COUNTY, N.C. - Emergency crews had to cut the roof off a vehicle to save people trapped inside after a crash near Crowders Mountain.
    Officials said three people had to be rushed to the hospital after the wreck at about 5 p.m. Monday on Little Mountain Road near Castlewood Drive.

    One person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.

    Two others were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

    No other injuries were reported.
