OAK ISLAND, N.C. — Four people and a dog were rescued after a boat capsized earlier this week close to Oak Island, town officials said.
The 19-foot Carolina Skiff got caught on a sandbar on Monday, authorities said.
The town’s Mobile Drone Control Unit and a bystander helped get the boaters and the dog to safety, town officials said.
Brunswick County EMS treated the people for minor injuries.
