401 Social aims to be gathering spot at Embassy Suites uptown

CHARLOTTE — 401 Social wants to become a gathering spot for travelers and locals alike.

The bar and lounge — formerly known as QC Social — has revamped its menu, increased staffing and changed hours as owners CMC Hotels and BPR Properties shake up operations. Access to that 5,500-square-foot, ground-level space was previously limited to guests at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Charlotte Uptown.

The Embassy is located in Charlotte’s Second Ward, at East Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and South Caldwell Street.

The space — complete with bar, lounge and outdoor patio — is perfect for those looking to grab a cocktail after work or a night out on the town, with live music on Fridays.

“We have refreshed and rebranded this striking space to host business and leisure travelers, as well as locals,” says Sheri Erhart, executive vice president of Raleigh-based CMC Hotels.
