Probation officer arrested for buying heroin at Stonecrest, police say
A Mecklenburg County probation officer was arrested on drug charges, officials said. Police said Justin McGlamery bought heroin at a popular local shopping center.

Failed inspections force students out of apartments in NE Charlotte

Latest on China Boat Sinking: Over 1,000 sent to help search
Chinese state broadcaster CCTV says more than 1,000 armed police officers, 30 soldiers and 140 navy divers have been sent to the site where a cruise ship sank on China's Yangtze River. More than 40 small boats also were sent to take part in search and rescue operations.
