Webb lived miles from the apartment complex.
Court documents released last week said Webb got into an altercation at the apartments with another woman and man who lived in an apartment.
When reporter Dave Faherty went to Stewart's apartment last week, she told him she had nothing to do with the murder. Investigators are not discussing a motive, but family members told Channel 9 Webb did at one time date Stewart's boyfriend.
Stewart is scheduled to appear before a judge Thursday morning in Caldwell County.
Faherty was at the magistrate's office when Stewart was taken into custody. See his story on Eyewitness News at 5.
