CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — An arrest was made Thursday connected to an overdose death on Aug. 3 2017 in Caldwell County, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Dorian Roshad Ferguson, 31, was charged with one count of second-degree murder related to the drug overdose death of Michael Todd Hollar, 48, at 2087 Ransom Place in Lenoir.
Hollar consumed a lethal amount of fentanyl, which was the cause of his death, investigators said.
The fentanyl was supplied by Ferguson prior to his death, the Sheriff’s Office said.
"We will use all resources available to hold drug dealers responsible for the devastation they cause to the families that have lost a loved one," Sheriff Alan C. Jones said.
Ferguson is currently serving a prison sentence related an arrest for possession of fentanyl that also occurred on Aug. 3, 2017.
Ferguson’s secured bond was set at $500,000.
