Award-winning chef debuts Tex-Mex restaurant in South End

Award-winning chef Ford Fry’s Superica is open for business. The Tex-Mex concept welcomed its first diners on Monday.

It is tucked into a 7,000-square-foot space in the Design Center of The Carolinas complex. That’s located at 101 W. Worthington Ave. in Charlotte’s South End.

“It’s going to shake the city,” says Sean Williamson, general manager. “It’s been a long time coming.”

He says the food, employees and culture of Superica will set it apart.

The South End restaurant is the first location for that brand outside of Atlanta.
