Fire rips through Chester County home, man’s body found inside

CHESTER COUNTY, N.C. — Officials said a man’s body was found after a house fire Thursday night in Chester County.

Firefighters responded around 9:15 p.m. to reports of a fire at a home on Old York Road.

Deputies said once the fire was put out, the body of 56-year-old Charles Davis was found inside the home.

The Chester County Sheriff’s Office, the Chester County Fire Service, the SC Law Enforcement Division and the Chester County Coroner’s Office are investigating.

No additional information has been released.
