Brooks’ Sandwich House owner exploring possible sale of NoDa restaurant site

CHARLOTTE — The owner of Brooks’ Sandwich House is considering a sale of the nearly 1-acre parcel the longtime restaurant sits on.

There are no immediate plans for the NoDa staple — which celebrates its 50th anniversary June 24 — to close, says David Brooks. It’s at 2710 N Brevard St.

“We’re in the preliminary stages of everything. Nothing’s changed. I’m simply exploring ideas and possibility,” he says. “The business is not for sale.”

Brooks occupies roughly 500 square feet of the 0.965-acre parcel. The ample open area continues to attract interest from parking vendors, food trucks and even groups looking to hold open-air markets on site, he says.
