Patients given choice of 2 providers after 100 doctors split from medical group

The newly formed Tryon Medical Partners will open its new offices within the next several weeks.

They sent a letter to patients last week telling them to decide whether to follow their doctor or stay with MMG. 90 doctors left the medical group.

The new offices for TMP will be relatively close to the MMG offices to make it convenient for patients.

Patients’ medical records will be transferred if they decide to leave the group.

TMP will accept all major insurances.

Atrium officials said they have recruited new physicians to fill the open positions.

The doctors that left sued Atrium, asking to leave.

They were told to go ahead and leave by the medical giant several months ago.
