CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — A Catawba County school teacher is charged with child abuse. She’s accused of yanking a student’s arm.
Catawba County Schools suspended Christina McCarthy with pay.
According to court documents, McCarthy teaches students who have special needs.
The child who was hurt Friday was seven-years-old.
McCarthy is due in court Tuesday.
