CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Man snatches woman’s purse in Sam’s Club parking lot

MATTHEWS, N.C. — Police are looking for a brazen thief who snatched a woman’s purse Monday in the parking lot of a Sam’s Club in Matthews.

The robbery happened around 4 p.m. at the Sam’s Club on Windsor Square Drive off Independence Boulevard.

Surveillance video shows a woman pushing her grocery cart in the store’s parking lot when a car pulls up beside her. A man then hops out of the passenger side of the car and grabs her purse out of the cart.

The thief could then be seen jumping back into the car before the vehicle sped away.

The woman was not hurt and no arrests have been made.
