CHARLOTTE — A gas main was cut Monday night, forcing crews to shut down South Boulevard in both directions until Tuesday morning, according to the Charlotte Department of Transportation.

The busy road will be closed between Hartford Avenue and Greystone Road where the South End Water Main project was happening.
It is unclear when the road will reopen.
