Channel 9 presents “Talking about Race”: Understanding Everyday Racism

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — As our community continues to address issues of race and equity, we remain committed to keeping the conversation going. Channel 9 presents Talking About Race: Understanding Everyday Racism -- an in-depth look at how racism is embedded in systems and places many people never think about.

We will be talking about the ways racism reveals itself daily from healthcare to housing and even sports. It might be subtle to the point that it’s hard for people to see, but it’s there.

We’re sharing stories to help you understand everyday racism and what we can do to move forward together.

Here at Channel 9, we realize this is a tough conversation for many of us to have, but without these conversations, we hurt our progress toward creating true equality.
