CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Truist Financial Corp. has extended its work-from-home policy due to COVID-19.
About 30,000 Truist employees — just over half of the bank’s total workforce — can continue to work from home through Jan. 31, 2021, Truist told the Charlotte Business Journal on Wednesday. All large group gatherings are also postponed until then.
Truist typically houses about 2,000 corporate employees at its headquarters in uptown Charlotte. It does not break down the number of other positions, such as branch workers, at the market level.
Truist is not the only bank making these decisions — although it has pushed its return date out further than others.
